The annual EVA conference is the major Earned Value Project Control conference outside the US. It is always chaired and curated by Steve.

Chairman and founder for 15 years of the APM EVM Specific Interest Group. Which then became the Planning Monitoring and Control SIG.
He established reciprocity between the US ANSI EV Guideline and the UK APM Guideline.
Steve chaired the APM SIG-Steering Group with oversight of all APM’s SIG activity and strategy. A member of the APM Knowledge Directorate and the Nominations Committee.
In 2011 he formed the Earned Value International Advisorty Panel (EVIAP) to lobby for an ISO standard.
In 2009, he founded the EVA-Europe initiative and chaired the first conference at CERN Geneva.
In 2012 a judge for ACostE Awards.
He is a member of the core author group for the PMI Second Edition of the Practice Standard for Earned Value Management.
He is APMG Chief Examiner for Earned Value and Planning and worked on the Foundation and Practitioner exams.
